Various Mechanical Parts of Press Brake

Press Brake is a machine that presses workpieces into different shapes according to requirements and bends thin plates. It is an important equipment for bending workpieces in the sheet metal industry. The bending machine is composed of a worktable part, a sliding block part, a back gauge part, an oil cylinder part and so on.

1. Cylinder

The hydraulic cylinder is a hydraulic actuator that converts hydraulic energy into mechanical energy and performs linear reciprocating motion. The structure is relatively simple and the work is very reliable. The oil cylinder is basically composed of a cylinder barrel and a cylinder head, a piston, a piston rod, a sealing device, a buffer device and an exhaust device. It is fixed on the left and right sides of the bending machine and drives the slider to reciprocate up and down.

2. Slider

The sliding block drives the upper die to perform reciprocating linear motion to realize the bending of the sheet metal to form a certain bending angle (or arc). The movement of the slider is divided into four processes: start to zero, fast drive, working stroke, and return of the slider. The slider is composed of the oil cylinder, mechanical stop, and fine-tuning structure. The piston (rod) is driven by hydraulic pressure to move up and down. The stop is controlled and adjusted by the numerical control system.

3. Fast clamp

The quick clamp is a fast clamping and fixing device for the upper mold of the bending machine, which is clamped on the slider of the bending machine for fast clamping, fixing and dismounting of the upper mold. The quick clamp includes a fixture base and a front pressing plate device, which can adjust the mold to make it evenly focused, prevent damage to the slider, and stably ensure the processing accuracy of the workpiece.

4. Front bracket

The front bracket is used to support the plate to be bent, can be adjusted up and down, and has a device that can automatically move with a guide rail. The front bracket supporting material is safer and more stable than manual supporting material, ensuring a better bending effect.

5. Operation control panel

The operation control panel is installed with the CNC system of the bending machine, which is equivalent to the brain of the bending machine. Input and operate the processing instruction values composed of words, numbers, symbols, and graphics, and control the bending machine to execute the processing program. It can store a variety of different programs and is equipped with interface circuits and servo drives.

6. Mould

The mold is a mold used for sheet metal stamping and forming and separation. Under the pressure of the bending machine, the processed part becomes a production tool with a specified shape and size. The mold is generally divided into an upper mold and a lower mold, an intermediate plate, a guide rail, a lower mold seat, and a cushion block. The installation and disassembly of the mold must comply with safe use specifications, and the processing parameters of the machine and mold must be followed when selecting to ensure that the two match each other.

7. Electrical box

The electrical box is a small low-voltage distribution box formed by enclosing the electrical wiring, measuring instruments, switches, and related equipment of the bending machine in a metal cabinet. The electrical box is generally installed on the side of the bending machine, with small size, simple operation and high safety factor.

8. Deflection compensation

Deflection compensation is to compensate the deflection deformation of the slider in order to ensure the accuracy of the workpiece. The functions of deflection compensation include: angle compensation, length compensation and gap error compensation. Compensation methods are: hydraulic compensation and mechanical compensation. There are many compensation points for mechanical compensation, which can make the bending effect reach the expected effect, and the relative stability of use is longer.

9. Motor

Servo motor refers to the engine that controls the transportation of mechanical components in the servo system. It is an auxiliary motor indirect speed change device. It can control the speed, the position accuracy is very precise, and it can convert the voltage signal into torque and speed to drive the control object.

10. Stop fingers

The stopper refers to the part that serves to display the size of the workpiece when the front and rear stoppers change displacement. The finger can move smoothly on the linear guide rail, and can also be adjusted up and down, which is convenient, efficient and easy to control. Bending machines generally have multiple stop fingers. The number is configured according to actual needs. It is a point contact, which can avoid the problem of insufficient straightness of the plate, and can realize the bending of sheet metal parts of different lengths.

11. Back gauge

The stopper mechanism is driven by a motor, which drives the screw to move synchronously through a chain operation, and the numerical control system controls the size of the stopper. The angles of the front and back gauges can be linked, and the front and back linkages can be mixed. The back gauge can flexibly fold small parts, and the front gauge has a very good molding effect. Double-drive front and rear stoppers, the positioning of the rear stoppers is more accurate, the front stopper has a good forming size, and can be used together to fold many special-shaped products. The front and rear stoppers are integrated to control the height, which is convenient for blanking and reduces errors.
